We just want to say thanks to everyone for making our wedding the perfect and amazing day that it was. We love you all and the day could not have gone more perfectly!!

I know I should be thinking about things to get done for the wedding but I can’t help but think about my little kitties! I’m going to miss them so much when they are gone!

Look, they are like my babies! They follow me all around the house, they are there when I need a hug, they snuggle next to me when I’m cold at night, and lick my face when I’m having a nightmare and I’m sending them to the kennel! Of course the kennel is more like a kitty spa than anything else, but I’m going to miss them so very much! What will I do without them on my cruise! They are going to be so pissed off with me when I get them back!! Omg I miss them already! When I get home I’m going to give them extra hugs and kisses. Yes, I’m crazy but you should already know this about me.

In other news, my wedding dress is finished being edited and back from the seamstress! OOOO I can’t wait to try it on! Sue picked it up for me because no other times would work out so I hope everything fits ok. I’m sure it’ll be fine though, I’ve tried it on nearly a million times.

Oh by the way things keep going wrong but I’m not going to let THE MAN get me down. Here’s the rundown. There was a HUGE PROBLEM with the flower people that I will tell you all about if you ask but I will not detail here. The reception venue keeps trying to nickel and dime us! Watch out for that – future brides! Firstly they are charging us $15 a bottle for what I KNOW to be $5 a bottle wine AND WE HAD TO TALK THEM DOWN TO $15!! and then yesterday they tried to charge us $2.50 a person for appetizers which were included in the menu at first! It’s ok though because they gave in and told us we could have those included in the original price we agreed upon. BUT THEN THE SPA calls! The place which we booked for 8 people the day of my wedding so that we could get our hair done! APPARENTLY ONE OF THE GIRLS QUIT so something that was already going to take nearly 4 hours to accomplish is now going to take 8 hours! Someone is going to be getting their hair done at 7am! How can you only have a total of two hairstylists??? How do they even stay open? Oh wait, they charge HUGE ridiculous prices for everything THAT’S HOW! Not to say that they aren’t nice people, I mean they are giving us a discount on the hair stuff now so that helps. Every little bit helps.

Oh and in the picture along with my baby is my lovely flower girl Katie. HI KATIE!!! Isn’t she pretty? Oh and btw that picture that she is drawing is of Simon and I on our wedding day.

Ah, the week before the wedding. You think that after planning for 2 years there would be no stress but then you get down to the week before the wedding and you realize that you couldn’t have been more wrong if your life depended on it. I have had three mental breakdowns this week, and they weren’t even rational! It was like I was PMSing but I couldn’t even blame my hormones because I’m not! I feel terrible for Simon but he’s been there the whole time. Every day reminds me of the many reasons why I am going through all this. He is the sweetest most awesomest guy!

Yesterday, I was chillin at work just getting my work groove on when this giant green box arrives for me with the fedex guy. Everyone is really excited as I slowly tear open the little zip pully thing and pull out.. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOQUET OF FLOWERS EVER!! And a card that says “Don’t marry him I’m the guy for you love, your secret admirerer” hahaha ok just kidding, it said “I can’t wait to marry you next week! With love from your best friend, Simon XXX” Isn’t that the sweetest?! The flowers are pictured above.

All that said, I am really enjoying planning for my wedding and getting everything together and I think that I may like to look into doing this for a living. I think planning other people’s weddings may be even more fun because I may not be as stressed. Plus I’m really creative so I could make all kinds of super amazing weddings for people on a budget. I mean, I’ve been watching TONS of wedding shows on tv and people usually spend tens of thousands of dollars on weddings that are only half as amazing as mine is going to be! You’ll see! So, anyone getting married soon???

I can’t wait to see you all there! A lot of people are getting in this weekend and next week is going to be super crazy! WHEW!

Ok.. the wedding is next week. It’s a week from Wednesday. It’s in 8 days 19 hours 5 minutes and 42 seconds as of right NOW. I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what to DO! omg!

Everyone in my office is getting sick. They better keep their germs to themselves! I can’t get sick now! It’s too close to everything. I keep picturing horrible things that could happen to me before the wedding that would ruin all the fun. Hopefully if I picture them, they won’t happen. Right?

Simon’s parents and grandparents get in tomorrow!! I’m so excited! Our house is spotless, dustless, dirtless, and messless. It is also foodless.. we should go grocery shopping. It’s going to be so fun when they get here! I don’t know what we are going to do really because Si and I both have to work but I’m sure the evenings will be eventful!

Monday Sue and I are going to get a spray on tan. I’ve never done it before so I’m a little afraid of what the results may be. I know how to count to three though so my results should be slightly better than Ross’s. Plus the girls at the spa sounded really nice!

!! Not sure what else to write for now! Super excited! Super nervous. Super thankful to Scott for making Si and I go out on Sat to relax and relieve some stress! Upcoming: Bachelorette Party, Bridal Shower, Tanning with Sue, WEDDING!!

The wedding is getting pretty darn close. So close that I have only 9 more days of work after today! The closeness of the wedding seems to be a bit of a curse and a happy thing though. My free time is absolutely shot and my sleep is virtually non existant. I have gotten so little sleep that I started naming things that already have names. For example, I am now calling sleep “Blinky Blinkerson” and my freetime “Fred Freemonster.” If you want to do something with me in the next month and a half you will have to make an appointment early because almost every hour is already filled.

I haven’t even gotten to see my newest little step nephew yet! (Sorry Shawna!)

There are so many little things to get done still as well. Gotta make lists and make payments and double check deliveries and in general just get ready! I will be so happy when it is here! But .. I’m not sure what I will do to occupy my free time once it’s over. Maybe I’ll actually spend some time with my friends (sorry friends) or family (sorry family) or something crazy like that!

Simon’s parents, grandparents, sister, and boyfriend of sister come out soon! A week from tomorrow actually! It’s really exciting because we will have an amazing back yard and cute little kittens and a wonderful house to show them! Label me officially excited!

This week is going to be a whirlwind of cleaning, getting ready for the wedding, dancing, and more. I’m just excited that’s why I’m writing and rambling. Ok, can’t wait to see you all! I miss you and love you!

A-Bean

Today I had the sudden realisation that our wedding is coming up really fast. It is:

• 3 1/2 weeks till the honeymoon
• 3 weeks till the wedding
• 2 1/2 weeks till my sister gets here
• 2 weeks till my friends from England and other states get here
• 1 1/2 weeks till my parents and grandparents get here
• 1+ weeks of madness getting everything ready in time!

I am really looking forward to marrying my best friend; that goes without saying! However, I’m also looking forward to the whole package. It’ll be the first time many of my friends have visited me in Colorado. It’ll also be the first proper holiday/vacation Amber and I have had together. Yes, we’ve been to England twice, but for me that’s just going home for a while, and for Amber it involves meeting a whole lot of my family…

So all the invitations are all sent out. And we’ve received our first wedding pressie!! Ok, we bought it for ourselves with our reward points from our credit card but we’re still counting it! It is called an Aero Herb Garden and it’s amazing. We are growing 8 different types of herbs and it’s so beautiful!

AND! We have the whole cake situation all figured out. It’s going to be a surprise but I think you’ll really like it. Most of all it is going to be uniquely Simon and I!

With only a little over 2 months left, we’re getting really really really really excited! I think we’re the most excited about our cruise!! We looked at what we could do on the cruise and there were all kinds of exciting things! Among the ones we decided on were: ziplining through the rain forest on a series of cables connected among platforms; a wonderful sailboat cruise to a deserted island where we can snorkle and relax; and a ride in a submarine under the depths of the ocean.

This is going to be amazing. I can’t wait until family starts to arrive!!
